I can’t stand Vance Joseph. That’s why I run FireVanceJoseph.com. Still, tonight’s win put a smile on my face, and I need to give credit where credit is due. Yes, the Cardinals are probably the worst team in the NFL. Yes, I still think the 2018 Denver Broncos are headed for mediocrity. Yes, it’s entirely feasible for the Broncos to give up another 200 yard rusher.
But at least there was tonight.
And at least these underachievers got good and pissed and blew out their goddamn opponents to the tune of 45-10. The defense was absolutely merciless. The offense was (can’t believe I’m typing this) decent. All in all, it was a great team effort and one that should be acknowledged by even the most disgruntled of Denver fans. That’s me!
Burning Questions and Scorching Answers
Will this win mean anything?
I doubt it, but I’d love to be wrong.
Does John Elway need to call the team soft every week to fire them up?
Does Vance Joseph really deserve any credit for tonight’s win?
If I blame him for the losses, then I’m crediting him for the wins too. The team looked about as prepared as I’ve ever seen them. Kudos to Joseph and the coaching staff.
Will Case Keenum manage to go one game without throwing an INT?
No. Like I’ve said before, Keenum is a poor man’s Jake Plummer.
If the team played like they did tonight against the Ravens, Chiefs, Jets and Rams, would they have won those games?
Yep. Not as comfortably as they won tonight. But they would have won all 4.
Well, that’s it for tonight, folks. Next up are the Chiefs @ Arrowhead…and that will be a very telling game for Vance and friends.
See you then.
